Thomas Lloyd Halsey's Obituary
Thomas Halsey of Albany died peacefully, Monday, October 4, 2010 at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, with his family by his side. He was 63 years old.
Thomas, the son of Benjamin Halsey and Elizabeth Wood Halsey, was born in Corvallis on March 13, 1947. He was a graduate of Corvallis High School. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and received the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in the Vietnam War. He worked for 28 years and retired from the United Stated Postal Service, where he was a window clerk. His love for his family was second, only, to his love for the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, father, aunts, uncles, a sister, and daughter.
He is survived by his mother Beth; his wife of 39 years Sharen; children Robert Canfield, Peter Halsey, Gabriel Halsey and his wife Bethany Halsey; six grandchildren Daniel, Stephen, Marcus, Alexander, Skyler and Zechariah.
Thomas will be loved, missed, and remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
