Thomas E. SpadaroMarch 1, 1961 - May 3, 2010Tom Spadaro, 49, passed away Monday at his home following a lengthy battle with heart disease. Although born in the lower 48, Tom grew up in Seward, Alaska. He pursued his passion for cooking and completed a two year culinary course at the Alaska Vocational Technical School in Seward Alaska.Tom moved to the Willamette Valley in 1992 with family members where he passionately pursued his love of cooking. His career included local restaurants and Oregon State University fraternities. Tom especially enjoyed cooking for the Habitat for Humanity Fundraisers.Tom had a heart of gold, which fulfilled his life with long time friendships. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and visiting the Oregon coast. Spending time with his family was his highest priority.Those who knew Tom knew him to be an intensely loyal friend, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Spadaro; and mother Irene Spadaro. He is survived by his brother, David Spadaro and his wife Cher of Crescent, Oregon; sisters Teresa Worcester and husband Dan of Salem, Oregon and Mary Mulhauser and husband Richard of Albany, Oregon; five nephews; three nieces; three great-nephews; and four great-nieces.Friends are invited to join Tom's family in a celebration of his life at Humpty's Dump on Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (
