Timothy Jon BlacklockApril 23, 1955 - October 10, 2009Timothy "Tim" Jon Blacklock, 54, of Albany has gone to join his Lord and Savior in everlasting peace and tranquility where he will meet up once again with his father Glenn. Tim passed away early Sunday morning in the home he shared with his mother as her companion and caregiver. Tim was born in Salinas, CA, to Eunice and Glenn Blacklock. He graduated from Salinas High School in 1973. In 1979 he migrated with his family to Albany where he went on to graduate with a double Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology and Community Service and Public Affairs from Willamette University.Tim put his formal education to good use working many years with delinquent children at the state-run institution of Hillcrest in Salem. He was an extremely kind, compassionate, and generous man.Tim had many outside interests. He was a strong believer in the Catholic Faith and was an avid collector of Catholic books and artifacts. He loved classical music, literature, and perusing garage sales. Tim was also a fluent speaker of the Spanish language.Tim was preceded in death by his father Glenn. He is survived by his mother Eunice Blacklock, his brother and sister-in-law Gary and Linda Blacklock, his nephew Cameron Blacklock, his nieces Whitney Blacklock and Ashley Custis; and their children Olivia, Chase, Bella, and Thaden.There will be a viewing at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Friday at 12:00, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. with a graveside service following at Oakville Cemetery.The arrangements are being handle by Aasum-Dufour Funeral Home in Albany.
