IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Travis Ott
Longo
September 3, 2002 – January 30, 2023
TRAVIS OTT LONGO
Sept. 3,2002 - Jan. 30,2023
Travis Ott Longo, 20, of Albany, OR, was born in Polson, MT. Travis spent several years in Montana foster homes and group homes before he was adopted in 2016 by Robert Longo in Albany, OR.
Travis attended Memorial Middle School, West Albany High School, and graduated from Albany Options School in 2020. While in school he participated in cross-country, outdoor track, football, wrestling, and band.
He started to study Automotive Technology at Linn-Benton Community College in 2020 and was scheduled to receive two degrees in June 2023. His lifelong passion was to become an automotive technician.
While attending LBCC full-time, Travis also worked at Auto Zone serving customers.
Travis is survived by his adoptive father Robert, his seven older adopted brothers (Dan, George, Curtis, Kyle, James, Matt, and Travis M, He was particularly close with brothers George and James as they lived nearby, and he was always fixing their cars. Travis is also survived by his biological family Dale and Netty Ott and older brother Michael Ott and by his nephews and nieces Bryce, Jayce, Cayden, Caleb, Mason, Jamie, Jemma, and his beloved dog Kol.
Travis never forgot the challenges he faced as a long-time foster child, and he made sure to treat all he met at school, college, and work with a warm, loving, compassionate heart. Although he grew up in foster care with very few material things, he rarely asked for very much. In his brief life, Travis managed to do what most other foster children are unable to do: graduate high school early, double major at college, and work nearly full-time hours while still in college.
Travis will be dearly missed by his family, friends, classmates, and co-workers. He loved to watch movies and Netflix and the Oregon Coast.
His beautiful dog Vicki passed three years ago, but undoubtably welcomed him on Monday night at the Rainbow Bridge.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future, time, and place to be announced.
Memorial contributions may be made to Safe Haven Humane Society or in the care of the funeral home.
AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (www.aasum-dufour.com).
