V. Louise GaleMay 31, 1917 - May 17, 2010V. Louise Gale, 92, died May 17.She was born to Louise and Fred Fowler of Portland where she attended school.  She was married to Carl Busch and later to Lester Gale. Louise was an active quilter at Albany Senior Center.  The church family at South Albany Community Church was an important part of her life.  In recent months she appreciated the loving care given by foster family, David and Martha Smith.Survivors include nephew Fred Strombough, Shirley Althaus; several cousins; special friends Ed and Connie Lenderman, Cliff and Mary King; and former caregiver Maggie Young.She was preceded in death by parents; sister Margaret Strombough; and close relative Lou Althaus.Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday at South Albany Community Church.Donations may be made to the Salvation Army.AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
