Obituary
Virginia De Lois Rippy, 88, of Albany passed away Thursday at her home.
Virginia was born in Weleetka, Okla., to John and Consada (Womack) Burden. She lived in Oklahoma until she was 19 years old. She met Luther Rippy and the two were married on Sept. 22, 1940, in Texas. After their marriage the couple moved to Richmond, Calif.
Luther and Virginia raised two daughters in Richmond. After Luther passed away on March 19, 1988, Virginia moved to Oregon to be near family.
Virginia enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Susan McNair, and Mary Ann Hall and husband Robert McCarty all of Albany; grandson Shannon McNair of Beaverton; granddaughter Kassetra and husband Greg VanNessi of Australia; grandson Ian Hall of Albany; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Luther.
A crypt side service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 20, at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany.
