Wade Allen Cox, aged 57, passed away on August 19, 2024, in Albany, Oregon. Born on July 9, 1967, Wade was a devoted family man and a passionate farmer. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Danelle Cox; children Kyle and Katelyn Cox; Step-father Larry Rouse; brother Brad Cox and his wife Buckley; aunts Sharon Wilson and her husband Roger; Kay Cowan-Thompson and her husband Bob; uncle Duane Miller and his wife Ruth; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ielean Cox-Rouse and Smith Cox; aunt Jerry Nicholson; and his grandparents Louise and Delbert (Mike) Cox and Lloyd and Agnes Miller.
Wade graduated from South Salem High School and dedicated his life to agriculture, beginning with livestock showing during his school years. He worked at Plagmann Farms from the mid-90s to the early 2000s before starting his own farm. He and his wife Danelle purchased his grandparents' land to continue their dream of having an agricultural legacy to pass on to their children.
Those who knew Wade will remember him as a loving husband, father, and friend who cherished spending time with his family and friends. His passions were deeply rooted in farming and raising his small herd of cows. He took pride in attending his children's livestock shows and sporting events.
Wade's hobbies included hunting, trips to the beach, watching Nascar, and spending time with his family and friends. His life was a reflection of his love for his wife, children, and the simple joys of life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cox Farm on September 21st at 1:00 PM. A potluck style lunch will be served, a side dish or dessert is welcome. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice, honoring Wade's generous spirit.
