Obituary
Walt H. Lessley, 87, of Albany died Saturday.
He was born in Rawlins, Wyo., and served in the U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Marines during World War II.
He married Gladys L. Albiston in 1987 and she preceded him in death in 2009.
He is survived by daughters Juli Spruill and Lori Anderson; son David Smith; sister Louise Weiss; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 1800 Grand Prairie Road. The service will follow at 2 p.m. Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
