Wayne L. McArthurApril 7, 1944 - May 21, 2010Wayne L. McArthur, 66, of Albany died Friday at Providence Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by his family and friends.Wayne was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Duane and Anna McArthur.  Wayne retired after 30 years of service for the International Association of Heat and Frost insulators Asbestos Workers, AFL-CIO Local 69. He married Nancy Krichbaum in 1975 in Reno, Nev., and they made their home in Pocatello, Idaho.  They moved to Albany in 1989.Wayne had a passion for the outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He had a quick wit and has the ability to make friends with anyone, and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone.  His generosity was displayed throughout his life.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Ashley; brothers Casey, Joey and Jamie.He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons Josh and wife Marcie McArthur, Harrison and fiancee Heidi McArthur all of Albany; daughters Brittany McArthur of Albany, and Kim McArthur of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren Freedom, Caden and Adellyn; sisters Anette, Nadia, Kathy, Marilyn, Robin and Leslie.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Albany.  AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements ( www.aasum-dufour.com ).
