Obituary

Wendy Ruth Carman, 57, of Albany passed away on Thursday, Dec. 19, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany.
Wendy was born in Seattle, Wash., to Harley and Ruth Carman. She grew up in Clarkston, Wash., where she graduated high school. She later attended school at the University of Idaho where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a minor in theater.
After college, she moved to New York City in 1979 for a while, before moving to Los Angeles in 1989. While in both cities, she worked at Goldman Sachs Investments as a works processor during nights, while having a career as an actress by day. She was in such films as "Moonstruck" and "Turk 182!" as well as roles on televisions series including "Quantum Leap" and "Perfect Strangers." She later moved to Albany in 2003.
Wendy was a member of the Screen Actor's Guild as well as the American Federation of Television and Radio Actors.
Wendy enjoyed travelling, reading, and especially cooking and baking, and had a varied collection of cookbooks.
Wendy is survived by her sister, Carol, two nephews, three great-nieces and one great-nephew.
