Wesley Milton RoeJan. 6, 1930 - April 20, 2010Wesley M. Roe, 80, of Albany passed away Tuesday at his home.He was born in Tacoma, Wash., the son of Earl and Marion (Ward Roe. Six weeks after he was born, the family moved to Florence. In 1947 they moved to Eugene and at age 15, he and his family came to Corvallis. Wesley enlisted in the United States Army and while serving met Eva B. Bauer and after his discharge they were married May 1, 1957, in Corvallis.He worked as a carpenter for many years and ran the fiberglass shop at Wah Chang until he retired in 1992. Wesley was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed fishing and making his own Kokanee trolling lures under the name "Roe Boate Takle."He is survived by his wife, Eva B. Roe of Albany; sons John Roe of Texas and Scott Roe of Albany; and granddaughters Nichole of Texas and Mariah and Melissa of Albany.A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Albany. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Benton Hospice and sent in care of the funeral home.AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
