Weslie Kirby Stalford

April 29, 1944 - October 7, 2016.

Weslie Kirby Stalford, 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 7, 2016.

She is survived by her loving husband Ernest D. Stalford of Jefferson, OR; son Dale Obert of Eugene, OR; daughter Cathie Grey and son-in-law Jon Grey of Sydney, Australia; sister Janet Evensen of Hillsboro, OR; brothers Doug Kirby of Bonanza, OR and Bert Kirby of Union, OR; step-sons Scott Stalford and Matt Stalford, both of Washington; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and grandkids.

Weslie was born in Adams, OR and grew up in LaGrande, OR. She loved helping on her parents' farm and riding horses. She was the 1962 Queen of the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show. She later graduated from Oregon State in 1966.

Weslie married David D. Obert in 1969 and they lived in Union, OR. After David passed, she married Ernest Stalford in 2004 and they lived in Jefferson, OR.

A funeral service will be held at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home in Albany, OR on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a graveside service at the Cove Cemetery in Cove, OR on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
