William Ladderson Quinn, 60, passed away Sunday.

He was born to Dorothy Lee and Moses Burgain Quinn. He was the third child born to this union. William was born and raised in San Diego, Calif., and attended Emerson and Knox elementary schools, O'Farrell Junior High and Abraham Lincoln High School.

William was a member of the San Diego Calvary Baptist Church and accepted Christ into his life. He was also a member of the Albany Eagles Club since 2002.

In 1972, William married Sheila McDougall. To this union three children were born: Casey C. Quinn of Fresno, Calif., Corey J. Quinn of Hillsboro, and Heather L. Quinn-Barron and husband Tim Barron of Sacramento, Calif.

In 2009, William was pleasantly surprised to learn that he had a daughter of 40 years that he had no knowledge of, Shannon Drane and husband Kyle of Fort Worth, Tex.

In 2005 William married the woman he knew was the one for him, Bonita G. Price. With this union came three step daughters: Susan M. Holzem of Portland, Rachel A. Holzem of Albany and Karlene H. Swanson of Albany.

William was blessed with a total of seven grandchildren: Charlene Brittany Cook, and Brayden Barron of Sacramento, Madeline Quinn of Fresno, Calif., and Myles Morris, Duwan Kornegay and Datwan Dickson of Fort Worth, Texas; stepgrandchild Sebastien Holzem of Albany; and great-grandchild Jarmaris Dickson of Fort Worth, Texas. William is also survived by sisters Delores Quinn and husband Ernest Mack, and Anese Quinn-Clemons, all of San Diego, Calif.; nieces Aapri J. Clemons and Shardae S. Shelton; and great-nephew Noah D. Moses all of San Diego, Calif.

His parents and sister Annie Delores preceded him in death.

William is loved and will be missed by a host of relatives and friends.

There will be a viewing from 2-5 p.m. Thursday at AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home.
