Wilma RothJuly 29, 1913 - Aug. 4, 2007Wilma Roth,94, passed away Saturday in Scio.She was born to Gideon and Fanny Helmuth in Millersburg, Ohio. Wilma lived in Ohio until she was 17 years old, and then moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia. She attended school in Pennsylvania and received her license as a practical nurse. After moving to Oregon, Wilma worked at the Mennonite Home in Albany for a number of years and then was a homemaker after her children arrived.On May 21, 1948, Wilma married Lloyd Roth in Louisville, Ohio. They lived on a farm near Lebanon, Oregon for the past 58 years.Wilma was a member of Fairview Mennonite Church. Her church and her faith in God was a very important part of her life.Wilma is survived by her husband Lloyd of Lebanon; daughter Twila and husband Ron Ernst of Salem; son Daryl Roth of Lebanon; grandchildren, Brad and wife Stefanie Ernst of Folsom, Pa., Michael Ernst of Seattle, Natalie Ernst of Boise, Idaho, Jennifer and husband Kevin Fantus of Lebanon, and Travis Roth of Lebanon; first great grandchild, due to be born any day in Pennsylvania; and sisters Naomi Neuenschwander of Louisville, Ohio, and Orpha Miller of Chesapeake, Va. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Zehr, Iva Helmuth, and Ruth Helmuth; and brothers Atlee, Gilbert, and Alvin Helmuth. Services will be held at Fairview Mennonite Church on Wed, August 8 at 2:30 PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to Fairview Christian School.
