Barbara Arlene Yastrop, 76, passed away at home April 14, 2022 in Albany, OR.
Barbara was born to Amos and Beryl Clark on August 20th, 1945. Barbara grew up in Eugene, OR, the youngest of three girls. She later moved to Florence, Oregon and was working at Petersen’s drug store when she met her husband Kent. Barbara and Kent got married in 1981. Barbara spent her time babysitting her nieces and nephews. She had always wanted to be a mother, and her dream came true when she had her son Brent in 1982. Kent and Barbara moved to Eugene and Veneta before settling in Albany, Oregon in 1990. Barbara loved taking care of her family, she was a wonderful wife and mother. Barbara’s sense of humor was subtle but great! She loved going to the coast, whenever the family had the chance they would drive over and spend the day walking up to Heceta Head Lighthouse or antiquing. She enjoyed antiques so much she even worked at an antique store in Albany. Her knowledge of antiques was always so fun to listen to and she was very knowledgeable. She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit Maui, Disney World, and Italy. Barbara loved celebrating those around her, she never missed a birthday or anniversary. She was always the first to send out handwritten Christmas cards, showcasing her lovely penmanship. Her chocolate pudding dessert was always requested for every gathering. Barbara had a special place in her heart for animals, she was always taking care of stray cats in the neighborhood. Barbara was a beloved wife, and mother. She will be dearly missed by friends and family.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Beryl Clark. Barbara is survived by Husband Kent, Son Brent (Katie), Sisters Janice Hansen and Marilyn (Norm) Brown.
