Carlton Budd Hallett

January 31, 1924 – September 4, 2023

Carlton Budd Hallett was born on January 31, 1924, to Greely Budd Hallett and Stella A. (Anderson) Hallett in Presque Isle, ME. He went to be with his Lord and Savior September 4, 2023, at the age of 99 ½.

Carl loved his country deeply and served his country well during WWII in the Navy as a sonarman. He was honorably discharged on April 4, 1946. However, his first job was picking cotton in the NE, and he spent his earnings on extra school clothes for the upcoming year. He then went to work for the Aroostook Valley RR. After serving his country honorably during WWII, Carl went to work for Continental Oil Co., now Conoco Phillips, as a gauger. Carl retired in Ponca City, Oklahoma from Conoco Phillips after over 37 years.

Carlton Budd was passionate about fishing, beautifying the yard with plants and gardening. He also loved to sing, and his beautiful voice was enjoyed by so many in the churches he attended as his profession moved him around to different cities.

He was a faithful husband, a wonderful provider and loved his family beyond what words can possibly express.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Greely Budd Hallett, and Stella Anderson Hallett (both born in New Brunswick). He is also preceded in death by two sisters Connie (and Art) Frizzel, Jean Hallett and one brother William (and Rose) Hallett.

Carl is survived by his four daughters: Tinette (and Lloyd) Wallace of Bentonville, AR, Nadine (and Mark) Floyd of Albany, OR, Nicolette (and Dennis) Tanner of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, and Carlene (and Keith) Wallace of Tulsa, OK. Tinanica! He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

We are honoring his request not to have a memorial service and his ashes will be buried with his parents and siblings in Maine.
