Constance (Connie) Lynne Plagmann
June 1, 1947 - October 21, 2023
Constance (Connie) Lynne Plagmann, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Connie was born on June 1, 1947, in LaGrande, Oregon, to her parents, Richard Wesley Moore and Betty Lou (Collins) Moore Goff McCoy. She was a long-time resident of Albany and attended Central Elementary School, as well as Albany Union High School.
While attending high school, she met her husband, Terrill Plagmann. They married in November 1963 and briefly moved to Medford, before returning to Albany to live on the family farm, Plagmann Farms, Inc. They had three (3) daughters and enjoyed showing Lhasa Apsos and then registered Polled Hereford cattle.
Connie had several careers, first working in her father’s dental practice, then as a belly dance instructor and a homemaker, before taking over the bookkeeping on the family farm, where she worked for 20 years. She volunteered for Linn County 4-H as a beef superintendent and was awarded 4-H leader of the year. She also was in charge of bookkeeping for the Linn County 4-H and FFA Youth Livestock Auction for many years.
Connie enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and also made trips to Italy and Australia. She loved her cats, chocolate chip cookie dough, Elvis, music from Broadway plays, and the holidays, especially Christmas. Most of all, she loved her friends and family.
Connie is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Richard Wesley Moore, Jr., of Medford.
Connie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Terrill Plagmann; three daughters, Toni Gile of Beaverton; Traci Anderson (spouse Roger Anderson) of Salem, and Teri Plagmann (spouse David
Weinberg) of Albany; grandchildren Alexander Estifanos Anderson, Wyndell Jaylen Durham and Wynter Lynne Durham, as well as her best friend since first grade, Ruth Alderson.
Connie will be privately interred at the Willamette Memorial Park Mausoleum. AAsum-Dufour Funeral Home is handling the arrangements (www.aasum-dufour.com).
