Deanna Davis Tribute

Deanna M. Davis died peacefully on April 19, 2022. She was at home surrounded by her family, as she wished to be.

Deanna is survived by her husband, John of Albany, and their children Melissa(Bill) of Independence, Sara(Adam) of Springfield and Chuck of Albany. Her mother Virginia of Lincoln City, and Sister Shere(Stan) of Lincoln City. Along with her many nieces &nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles (Dean) in 2009.

She married her husband John in 1976 after picking him up hitch hiking the year before. They went on to raise 3 children which resulted in her favorite title of “Grandma” with 8 grandchildren. Bryan, Shane, Justin, Kiyanna, Destiny, Cody, Riley, and Isabella. Those grandchildren went on to give her the ultimate title of “Nana” to Kayden, Lettie, Layla, Tucker, Ophelia and Greyson.

Deanna enjoyed many activities and hobbies with her husband and family from driving race cars at the Eugene Speedway in the 1980’s to her vast collection of windchimes she collected every time she went to the coast or on vacation (her children & grandchildren apologize to their neighbors in advance). She loved camping and going on scooter rides with her husband. Last year she discovered her love of riding quads, her favorite thing was to ride down on the beach and stare at the ocean. Her last ride at Sand Lake on February 2022 she said it’s so peaceful I could sit here all day if it wasn’t so cold! She loved working with children and in her retirement years she volunteered at Page Elementary School in Springfield and the YMCA in Albany. She loved reading and the crafts that she did with all the children she worked with.

A memorial is being scheduled for this summer, per her wishes. In lieu of flowers we ask that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild or friend as time waits for no one.
