Jacob Follette Tribute

Jacob Follette, age 42, of Albany, Oregon, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 9, 2021, at his residence in Albany, Oregon.  His death was determined to be from natural causes, he suffered a massive heart attack following kidney surgery to remove a cancerous tumor.

Jacob was born on August 1, 1978, to Caroline Marie Solis-Follette in San Diego, CA in University Hospital.  During his childhood Jacob lived in California and Oregon, he lived a short time in Kansas and in adulthood chose to make Oregon his home.

Jacob was a gentle giant, with a dark sense of humor and a sarcastic personality, he was an avid gamer; “World of Warcraft” being his favorite, his character Genocya will be immortalized by his gaming community.  Jacob loved Marvel superhero movies, Transformers, and comedies.  All that knew Jacob knew him to be a “stoner” with a big heart, he was a devoted son, full time caregiver to his beloved mother and part time caregiver to his brother Ron.  Jacob was a hilarious jokester and is also remembered for having deep philosophical conversations. He was the beloved youngest brother of 5 siblings.  Jacob was a loving husband to Suezette and a caring Stepfather to her 3 children for the last 14 yrs.  Jacob was a true friend always there, listened, and always had something to say whether you wanted to hear it or not, you could talk   to him about anything with no judgement, if you were part of  his friend circle you were more like family than just “friends” he was loved by children and was known as everyone’s favorite “Uncle” even if they weren’t related, he recently added “Gampa” to his many aliases such as “the brown guy”, Jake, J-Cup and MacBar.

Jacob is survived by his Mother Caroline, his wife Suezette, and their children, Marcella,  Steven and Destiny of Albany, OR; granddaughter Chloe of Albany, OR; sister Yara Morgan of Kansas City, MO, Xochilt Gamboa-Solis of Reynosa Tamaulipas and brothers Luis Gamboa and Ronny Follette of Sweet Home, OR .
