Robert Lee Campbell

November 5, 1946 ~ September 4, 2022 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Robert Campbell Tribute

Robert (Bob) Lee Campbell went home to be with Jesus on Sept. 4, 2022. Born Nov. 5, 1946, to Clarence Henry Campbell and Dorothy Freda Webster in Carrollton IL, he was the youngest of six children of which three survived to adulthood. He lived in and around Peoria, IL until he was 17 at which time his parents moved to San Diego, CA.  When he turned 18, he joined the US Navy and served for four years on the USS Dixie and USS Bauer.  After leaving the Navy he worked several jobs before moving to Oregon in 1976 and starting his career as a collision repairman. He retired in 2008. His hobbies and interests over the years included motorcycles, woodworking, Civil War history, genealogy, and watercolor painting.

Robert met and married his wife Shirley Robinson Campbell in 1983, and they shared a combined family of six children. They moved to Albany in 1984 where they have resided until now. 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister Elizabeth Campbell; brother Charles Campbell; granddaughter Rose Marie Adamson; and daughter Angela Clay. He is survived by wife of 39 years Shirley Campbell; daughter Robin Wilson (Russ); daughter Genell Smith (Matt); daughter Sherry Evans (Keith); son-in-law James Clay; son Kevin Campbell (Lisa); and Ben Campbell (Sandi). Other family includes 19 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will at 11 am on Wed., Nov. 23, 2022, at Hope Church in Albany.
