Robert Dean Carlson
August 3, 1931 - August 21, 2021
Bob was born to Axel and Elsie Carlson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, he was the middle child of five. They lived on a family farm in Augusta, Wisconsin until he was eight years old when they moved to Dallas, Oregon. Bob graduated from Dallas High School in 1949.
Bob met the first love of his life, Patsy Crawford, and they were married on December 20, 1952. Three years later, they started a family, and, on their anniversary, David was born, followed later by Linda, Nancy, and Gordon.
Corporal Robert Carlson served in the National Guard for nine years and was honorably discharged in October of 1957. The family lived in Dallas and Albany before buying the home in Tangent in 1966. Bob worked at Wah Chang as a machinist for 34 years until his retirement.
Bob spent his life in service of the Lord and went on many missions. He traveled to Europe, North and South America, and most recently to Italy for his grandson Rob's wedding.
After the passing of Patsy in 2012, Bob met the second love of his life, Kathy Siemens, at Jim Sapp’s Bible study. They were married on April 7, 2018.
He is survived by his wife Kathy; sister Janet; sons David and Gordon; daughters Linda and Nancy; stepdaughters Brandy and Kimberly; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
