Sandy (Rhea) Kelley, 80, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife passed away on Saturday evening at home in Albany surrounded by family.
Sandy was born in Hermiston, Oregon to Carl and Mildred (Phelps) Rhea. She grew up on a wheat farm in Morrow County and graduated from Hermiston High School.
Sandy married Harry Kelley in Hermiston, Oregon in 1962. Harry and Sandy have resided in Albany since 1966, where they raised two children. She worked as a bookkeeper in various offices. Sandy also worked as a homemaker, raising their two children.
Sandy loved working in her flower garden, reading books, and everything sports. Most of all, Sandy loved her family, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She never missed the opportunity to be an active supporter in her grandchildren’s lives.
Sandy is survived by husband of 59 years Harry Kelley, from Coos Bay, Oregon; son Harry C. Kelley (Becky); daughter Janie K. Patrick (Kevin); grandchildren Travis (Anna), Brian (Natalie), Amanda Kelley, and Ryan, Jason, Sara Patrick; great grandson Jace Kelley and two more great grand babies on the way; siblings Carlene, Steve, and Lori. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Mildred.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
