William Woods Tribute

William Nathan Woods passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2021 at the young age of 52.

Willie was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on February 27, 1969 to Paula and Lawrence (Beaver) Woods. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1987.

After high school he went to line school in Idaho. He started working for PGE and finished his apprenticeship there. He developed a passion for linework and it soon became his identity. Those who worked with Willie know how much he loved his job and how much pride he took in his work.

As a Journeyman Lineman he worked for PGE, and the rest of his career was spent in outside line construction. Willie made many great friends along the way and was loved and respected in the trade.

Willie was an active member of the IBEW Local 125/659 and took great pride in being a union member. He enjoyed watching sports, rodeo, golfing, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his daughter Lauren.

If you knew Willie personally and were to ask him of his greatest accomplishment, he would say that it was being a dad to his amazing daughter Lauren! She brought out the best in him… the soft side that many might not have seen. He loved her with his whole heart and his eyes would light up when he talked about her. She was his world and he was so proud of her.

Willie was preceded in death by many family members, but most recently his mother, Paula passed away in 2018.

He is survived by his daughter Lauren; his dad, Lawrence (Beaver); and his four brothers: Lohn, Craig, Justin, and Shaun… and so many other nieces/nephews, aunts/uncles/cousins, and true friends that he loved dearly. Family, friends, and traditions were very important to Willie and he was very loyal and generous to those that he loved. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 8th at 2pm at Richardson Park (Fern Ridge Lake 25950 Richardson Park Rd).

A fund has been set up for his daughter. If you would like to contribute to this fund, cash or checks (Payable to Craig Woods) would be appreciated. Please contact Justin or Craig if a mailing address is needed.
